Green jobs help improve the quality of our environment, and are one of the few parts of our economy that are growing and for good reason (“What are ‘green jobs’?” May 31).
Green jobs are a critical part of Massachusetts’ economic future. We can put thousands of Bay Staters to work on critical transit projects like the South Coast rail line or by building solar panels for companies like Evergreen Solar. Or by installing wind turbines off Cape Cod and by weatherizing our old and inefficient building stock.
Building a clean energy economy is a must, and if Massachusetts continues to lead the nation with green policies it might just be Bay Staters doing the building.
