The Earth is a blue planet, with oceans covering two-thirds of the
surface, providing over 90 percent of the earth’s living space, and
containing the richest variety in different forms of life. Yet careful
stewardship of our oceans’ resources is too often the exception, not
the rule. To restore our ocean waters to health, Environment Massachusetts supports a
moratorium on new offshore drilling for oil and gas, aggressive action
to solve global warming, and an immediate halt to reckless overfishing
practices.
