Dear
Legislator,
Massachusetts was
the first state in the nation to create a state park system, preserving open
spaces and wild areas for public enjoyment. Unfortunately bare bones budgets
have left our parks in a state of disrepair, and threatened the state’s ability
to protect open spaces from encroaching development.
We urge you to act
to protect our parks and forests by passing the Environmental Bond Bill and
giving our parks and forests the resources they so desperately
need.
Learn More: Save Massachusetts' State Parks
Our state parks, forests, beaches and reservations are suffering from years of underfunding. We're working to convince state leaders to reinvest in our parks system, hire more staff and rangers, and fund much-needed maintenance projects. Read more.
