Dear legislators,

We have the tools to start a new energy future. You have acknowledged this by passing bold new energy policy that puts energy efficiency and renewable energy at the heart of new policy. But offering incentives to coal technologies in the energy bill is a step backwards.

Because of the reality of global warming, the environmental degradation resulting from coal mining and transport, and more, we urge you to take incentives for coal technologies out of the final energy bill.
