Tell NRG to keep their promise and shut down or clean up the Somerset power plant

8 years ago NRG promised Pauline and her neighbors that they would shut down the old coal fired power plant in their neighborhood, or renovate it to run on clean burning fuel.

Instead of keeping their promise, NRG wants to turn this into a new, so-called "clean coal" plant that would not only continue to run on coal, but could also use potentially toxic construction waste.

To curb global warming pollution, promote energy independence and improve the health of our communities we need to repower Massachusetts with clean renewable energy-- not unproven technologies that keep us dependent on fossil fuels and expose Bay Staters to toxic chemicals.

Tell NRG to keep their promise to Pauline and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by shutting down or cleaning up the Somerset plant.
