Call on NRG to Shut Down or Clean Up the Montaup Plant

Join our Day of Action for clean energy and a healthier environment: Tell NRG to shut down or clean up Montaup, the coal-fired power plant in Somerset.

Call NRG today at (609) 524-4500

Here's a sample script to use:

"Hi.  My name is _____ I am a member of Environment Massachusetts and am calling about the Somerset Station power plant that your company owns.

It is long past time to clean up the Somerset Station power plant.  This old coal burning plant pollutes our air, harms our health, and contributes to global warming.

I am calling because I want NRG to keep its promise to the state and to the local community and by either shutting down or cleaning up this plant.

Massachusetts needs to tap into new, clean energy sources like wind and solar.  We don't need to keep burning coal in a plant that was built when Calvin Coolidge was president!

Please pass along my comments to the CEO David Crane, and thanks."

Then let us know you called by filling out the form to the right.
